We're on the same wavelength, Graham. But I must contend that no discussion of existentialism is complete without consideration of Colin Wilson's New Existentialism, which is positive and optimistic and founded in part on 'profound personal experience' - the 'peak experience' as named by Abraham Maslow. Wilson spent a lifetime exploring how such experience could be induced and sustained for the benefit of the human race.
