Very good article, Peter. My view about AI would be that, if consciousness is accepted as being fundamental, causal and primary, as under analytic or monist idealism, a philosophy I favour, then how could a machine possibly be made to participate in this realm in the way that the human brain does, even assuming that the machine would be within this spatially unbound universal consciousness?
