I take this from the late Laurence Gardner and his magisterial 'The Origin of God', which was published posthumously in 2010, a few months after his death. I was acquainted with Laurence when I lived in the West Country and interviewed him about his works. He told me he was determined to complete 'The Origin of God' and its sequel 'The Revelation of the Devil' before he died, and this he achieved. I maintained contact with Laurence's wife Angela who, with her sister Susan, set up a small publishing company with the specific aim of issuing 'The Origin of God', and I helped with publicity. 'The Revelation of the Devil' was published in 2011. Both books are impressive works of scholarship. Best wishes, Geoff
